Mooje’s career began at the School of Visual Arts in NYC, learning the fundamentals of Graphic Design. After only a couple of years of studying design, it was clear that their focus needed to pivot to the world of animated storytelling. The desire to rely on movement as a medium is rooted in their background of dance — they practiced dance for 12 years, starting at the age of 2. Simultaneously, they were exposed to various instruments and genres through their father’s musical practice. Visual expression through motion has always been a part of them, represented in different forms. Their conceptual approach paired with their rhythmic tendencies continues to significantly influence their creative practice. They’ve created work for global clients such as Apple, Samsung, & Google.
